Foothills birding

Birding in the foothills in summer can be a lot of fun. Local sparrows, thrushes and other breeding songbirds finally leave the nest and explore the world on their own, and migrant warblers and shorebirds are move through in huge numbers. 

Snowy owl tours

Snowy Owls are some of the most majestic winter birds regularly found in Southern Alberta each winter. Visitors from as far as Argentina and Australia have come in search of these beautiful ghosts of the North, and have been treated to some incredible encounters.

Great grey owls

Often elusive, but always amazing to find anywhere around Calgary are Great Grey Owls. These silent hunters are always the highlight of any trip, and generally allow for long looks and plenty of photo opportunities.
